Ginny Patterson - Talking to Horses

If your horse could talk what would he/she have to say?

   talking to horses

Have you ever looked at your animal friend and wondered, " How does he/she really feel about doing dressage?" Or "why does your animal display certain types of behaviour?" "Would my mare like to have a foal?" "Is my horse happy at this yard?" How about checking in on how your animal feels about his or her life in general? These are some real-life questions I have asked of people's animals. Your animal will welcome your interest…….

It seems as if the world is at last waking up to the concept that animals do have feelings and can think for themselves. Horse caregivers, so often disillusioned with mainstream medical and traditional training approaches are now actively exploring complementary therapies, and the skills of animal communicators as a way to address their animals emotional needs and behavioural problems.

My work as an equine communicator compliments the services of holistic veterinary practitioners, animal behaviourists and trainers, to aid an animal's recovery from many different types of ailments, physical discomfort and emotional problems often associated with behaviour.

People have described me as a bridge linking people with their animal's most inner thoughts and feelings. My ability allows me to telepathically connect with animal's thoughts, feelings, experiences of events past and present and any physical discomforts. My work has been a valuable resource and assistance in cases of trauma, and abuse.

From an early age I realised that I was able to link into an animals thoughts. I discovered that by placing my hands onto the animal this resulted in an immediate sense of calming and the communication started to flow. This has gradually developed over the years.

From a healing prospective, I am a qualified Reiki Master and teacher Equine/small animal healing practitioner, also hold a diploma in crystal healing and studied animal energy healing.

The communication and healing go hand in hand for the majority of cases. Animals like humans experience anxiety, emotional imbalances and physical conditions. In many cases, I have found that for some clients symptoms have occurred as a result of their owners problems. The owner's anxieties, and situations causing imbalance in their personal lives. Animals particularly horses are extremely sensitive to their owners state of mind, moods and ailments. Many will mimic these conditions to such an extreme that makes them quite ill. I always work with this in mind and from information gathered from the animal I will aim to rebalance presenting problems. However, it has often been necessary to offer healing to the owner as well to break the cycle.

Due to my success as an Equine and small animal communicator and healer I now offer animal communication and healing workshops. I like to encourage owners to learn how to communicate with their animals and to carry out energy healing to help themselves and their animals to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Communication: Simply working with my sixth sense!

So how do animals communicate with me?

Through using my psychic ability 'sixth sense' I can see, feel and hear their thoughts, feelings, emotions, physical discomfort and past and present experiences. This has and continues to be a natural ability from being a small child.

Buster a small Shetland pony……..

I was introduced to 'B' in November 2003. The owner described a little pony who was basically giving up on life! The vet couldn't do anything for him and advised the owner to consider the option of putting him to sleep. She was horrified at this prospect and remembers standing talking to her husband whilst outside of Busters stable. They discussed how they couldn't give up on Buster just yet but didn't know what to do to help him.

The following day.....

I received a call and agreed to visit Buster the following evening. On arrival at the stables I was briefed about his condition. Laminitis, arthritis and a recent eye injury that resulted in total loss of vision in the left eye. On entering his stable this small Shetland pony stood with his head facing the corner and back to the door. Initially I gave healing for a few minutes from the doorway. Until I felt he was comfortable with me being there. His aura was black and made me feel heavy and very sad. In fact, tears came to my eyes. As I moved closer to lay my hands on him he turned his head in a gesture of acceptance. Immediately, he started to give me images and feelings. He expressed despair about loosing his eye, he felt tired and very low in mood. He didn't want to eat or be bothered with anything. He gave me images of his owners discussing his fate outside of his stable door. This horrified his owner as you can imagine she hadn't considered that he could understand what was being said. He showed me how his mate a Shetland mare named Myrtle in the next stable was trying to help him. He was trying to please her but felt he couldn't go on.

I continued with the healing and communication....

Buster was showing me a little girl with dark hair and the pleasure he would receive form her attention when grooming him. He missed this greatly. I enquired with his owner if this had any significance to her. It was acknowledged that a small child had previously visited a couple of times to groom him. I asked if arrangements could be made for further visits. This was later organised over the following week. On completion of the first session Buster appeared brighter and more positive, and actually tucked into his supper.

On the second visit....

I noticed a remarkable improvement; he turned to greet me and started to communicate to me about the little girls visit. How she had groomed him, and even sang a song to him. The owner confirmed this. Over the following weeks Buster began to improve and regain an interest in eating. He appeared more interested in his surroundings and didn't stand facing the corner as before. The owners built a small window in his stable so he could see his mate Myrtle. Sessions continued over the following two months, we all saw a wonderful change take place. Buster continues to improve and receives regular communication sessions and Reiki treatments. Each visit is always interesting and full of humour. His whole attitude to life has completely changed. He has adjusted to the loss of vision in one eye and is now a bubbly character with a wonderful sense of humour again!

Ginny Patterson - Horse Communicator

My work as a horse communicator takes me all over the country, visiting many yards and hundreds of horses. Each one has an individual character and personality, they share humour and stories about their handlers and other equine friends. Discovering what your horse thinks and feels can be a humbling experience, it can be enlightening and certainly helps to build a stronger bond between animal and handler.
